Dojo Online Checkout

Keep Sandbox connected for testing while Production handles real customer orders. The two API keys and signed webhooks are stored separately, so changing a test setup cannot replace the live checkout credentials.

Why the environments are separate

Production and Sandbox now have their own encrypted API key, webhook subscription and signing secret. Each order records the payment environment used when its Dojo Payment Intent is created. A webhook is then checked against that same environment before NextTill can mark the order paid.

This means a Sandbox connection can be re-tested without changing the Production credentials used by customers.

Dojo reviews the merchant website for the legal entity, contact details, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Action required: review the sample wording and publish the tenant documents before customer launch.

Connect Production

Production is not ready for customer payments yet. NextTill will refuse to switch public checkout to Production until its API key and signed webhook both verify successfully.

Payment safety

NextTill recalculates the basket on the server and records whether the order was created in Sandbox or Production before handing the customer to Dojo. Returning from Dojo does not mark an order paid; only the correctly signed webhook for that environment can do that.

NextTill's 0.25% online service fee is not added to the customer's bill. It is recorded separately for tenant billing. Tips and “keep the change” are excluded from that fee.
